Designed by Javier Arana and opened in 1965, Rio Real Golf Club magnificent 18 hole, par 72 course is located on a gently rolling terrain. Crossed by the river of the same name. The Río Real Golf Club takes players on a round in the midst of a large variety of trees, with pine and palm trees dominating up to the 4th hole near the Mediterranean sea.
The holes on the Rio Real golf course are steeped in history. The pioneers of the sport in the province took their first shots on its fairways. With a history reaching back sixty years, the facilities of the club are in perfect condition thanks to years of careful maintenance.
Rio Real Golf course is situated on the coastal dunes and between ancient eucalyptus and mimosa trees. It presents a challenge for amateurs of all levels. The course reaches down to the sea and the terrain is wide and flat, with wide fairways and few water hazards.
Situated right on the beach, Rio Real Golf Club is just over a kilometre from Malagas international airport. |

Rio Real is one of the first courses built on the Costa del Sol. Beautiful, well designed, quite flat, good for all kinds of golfers. Easy to be played and not long or tiring. The N340 road crossing the course should not affect your concentration. | | |
